UIM Calendar News #1 – 21 March 2024

As we are on the verge of a new racing season, we wish to inform you of a number of changes in the UIM International Calendar that have been requested by organizing Member Federations.  

CIRCUIT

• POLAND, WC ENDURANCE CATAMARANS CHANGE OF DATE AND EC FR1000 ROUND ADDED TO CHODZIEZ EVENT

A round of the 2024 FR1000 European Championship has been added to the powerboat event already scheduled in Chodziez on the weekend of 8^th/9^th June (European Championships GT30 & OSY400, International Ordinary P750).

The Necko Endurance event of Augustow, previously planned from 28^th to 30^th June, moves ahead to the previous weekend 21^st/23^rd June.

• UIM F2 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP CALENDAR CONFIRMED

The full calendar of the 2024 UIM F2 World Championship has been unveiled with six confirmed rounds. The season opener will be held in Brindisi, Italy, from 28^th to 30^th June, while Vila Velha de Ródão in Portugal will be hosting the last round, on dates 21^st/23^rd September.

• SWEDEN, INTERNATIONAL ORDINARY EVENT

One Circuit/Offshore International Ordinary Event has been added to the International Calendar. It will take place on dates 18^th/20^th July in Smedjebacken. The Circuit classes open to registrations are GT10, GT15, F4 and F2.

• ITALY, WC F500 ROUND OF CREMONA CANCELLED

Originally scheduled to be held from 20^th to 22^nd September as last round of the Championship, the F500 World Championship round of Cremona is cancelled and replaced by Halbendorf in Germany, which will now host the last round of the season on the weekend of 5^th/6^th October.

• GERMANY, HALBENDORF TO HOST LAST ROUND OF THE F500 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP AND FR1000 EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP

A round of the F500 World Championship has been added to the international calendar, to take place in Halbendorf on dates 5^th/6^th October. Following the cancellation of Cremona WC F500 round, it becomes the last round of the 2024 Championship. Halbendorf will also host on the same dates the last round of the FR1000 European Championship, and an International Ordinary event of classes F125, F250, F4, OSY400 and P750.
